Sanchez, acquired by the Phillies last year in a trade for JT Realmuto, gave up a double to fellow rookie Alec Bohm in the second inning, but he retired 10 consecutive batters over the next five innings, allowing just one hit and three walks. Starling Marte gave the Marlins the lead with a third-inning single. In the night game, the Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3.
