– Maya Moore, the former WNBA star who helped free a man who served more than 21 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, is now a married woman. “We wanted to announce today that we are super excited to continue the work that we’ve been doing together, but doing it as a married couple,” Moore, 31, told Good Morning America on Wednesday. “We’re excited to share this new chapter of life together.” Moore said she married Jonathan Irons, 40, earlier this summer. Irons was released from prison July 1. He had been convicted in 1998 of breaking into a Missouri home and shooting a homeowner, but a judge overturned his conviction in March after determining that prosecutors suppressed fingerprint evidence that strengthened Irons’ defense, the AP reports. “I am trying to really just breathe from this long, long battle,” Moore said. “There’s a lot of unknowns for a lot of us right now. So I’m still in that camp.”
