– An Islamic State affiliate in West Africa says it killed six French aid workers and their Nigerien guide and driver at a giraffe reserve in Niger on Aug. 9, according to a statement published by the SITE Intelligence Group on Thursday. The group, known as ISIS in Arabic and Islamic State in French, claimed responsibility for the killings in a statement published by the SITE Intelligence Group, Reuters reports.
