– “They’re very tough, they’re very smart, they’re very sharp, but you know it’s been 19 years and even they are tired of fighting, in all fairness,” Reuters quotes President Trump as saying of the Taliban during a news conference Friday. Trump’s comments come as peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government are underway in Doha, Qatar. “We’re dealing very well with the Taliban,” Trump says. “They’re very tough, they’re very smart, they’re very sharp, but you know it’s been 19 years and even they are tired of fighting, in all fairness.”
