– “We have to come down hard on the rule breakers.” That was the message from Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Saturday as the Canadian province saw 407 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, reports Reuters. That’s up from 80 cases per day two weeks ago. “Folks, we can’t have these wild parties right now. It’s just way, way too risky,” Ford said. “We have to come down hard on the rule breakers.” Under new rules, indoor social events in Ontario can now include no more than 10 people, down from the previous limit of 50; outdoor gatherings will now be limited to 25; and anyone caught holding an illegal party can face a fine of up to $7,580.
