⁍ Rougned Odor recorded a multi-homer game and the Texas Rangers parlayed a five-run fourth inning into an 8-4 victory over the Houston Astros.

⁍ Houston trailed 3-1 before Odor smacked a three-run home run to right field off Astros right-hander Chase De Jong.

⁍ The Astros, who finished 9-23 on the road, will open their American League wild-card series on the road Tuesday as the sixth seed.

– The Houston Astros became the first team in baseball history to reach the postseason with a losing season, but they’ll have to do so without star second baseman Jose Altuve. Altuve was scratched from Sunday’s game against the Texas Rangers with a strained right calf, reports the Houston Chronicle. The two-time All-Star is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday when the Astros open their wild-card series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
