– Switzerland’s air force is about to get a major upgrade. The country has voted in favor of a $6.46 billion plan to buy new fighter jets from Airbus, Boeing, France’s Dassault, and Lockheed Martin, Reuters reports. The referendum was called after the country’s aging fleet of 30 F/A-18 Hornets went out of service in 2030. The new jets are to be delivered by 2025.
