– Confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett begin Monday, and President Trump says he hopes she’s paying attention to mail-in ballot security, Reuters reports. “I hope she’s paying attention to the issue of mail-in ballot security, but I’m not going to talk about that until after she’s heard from the Senate,” Trump said Sunday on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos. “I’m not going to talk about the election until after she’s heard from the Senate.” Democrats have raised concerns about Barrett’s religious beliefs, and Trump has accused them of playing the religious “card” against her.
