⁍ British health minister Matt Hancock moved to defuse a row with some lawmakers over the government’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.
⁍ Hancock said he was looking at ways to better involve parliament in setting any national measures.
– Britain’s health minister has apologized after lawmakers accused him of bungling the response to the country’s first outbreak of a deadly virus, Reuters reports. Lawmakers accused Matt Hancock, the country’s chief medical officer, of bungling the response to the disease, which has killed at least 11 people and sickened dozens more. “We’re looking at further ways to ensure the House (of Commons) can be properly involved in the process, in advance if possible,” Hancock told parliament. “I hope to provide the House with further details soon.”
