⁍ Libyan oil production has risen by about 20,000 barrels per day (bpd) from last week to reach 290,000 bpd.

⁍ The easing of a blockade by eastern forces, which began in January, has allowed the OPEC member to ramp up exports.

⁍ The blockade reduced Libya’s output from more than 1.2 million bpd to around 100,000 bpd.

– The fall of Moammar Gadhafi has boosted Libya’s oil production by around 20,000 barrels a day, a Libyan oil source tells Reuters. The country’s production had fallen from more than 1.2 million barrels a day in January to around 100,000 barrels a day before eastern forces eased a blockade, the source says. The easing of the blockade has allowed three major oil terminals—Zueitina, Marsa El Hariga, and Brega—to reopen, though damage sustained during the shutdown may slow the full resumption of exports, the source says.
