⁍ Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic challenger Kamala Harris will be separated by a plexiglass barrier during their debate on Wednesday.

⁍ The debate is scheduled for Salt Lake City, Utah, six days after President Donald Trump announced he had contracted the virus.

⁍ Both Harris, a U.S. senator, and Republican Pence have tested negative in recent days.

– Joe Biden says he’s willing to participate in the second presidential debate with Donald Trump as long as health experts deem it safe. “If the scientists say that it’s safe and the distances are safe, then I think that’s fine. I’ll do whatever the experts say is the appropriate thing to do,” the Democratic vice-presidential nominee told reporters in Delaware on Monday, per Reuters. Biden, who tested negative for the virus known as coronavirus over the weekend, says he’d be willing to go ahead with the Oct. 15 debate if health experts say it’s safe to do so. The first debate between Trump and Biden is scheduled for Oct. 15 in Miami. As for Wednesday’s vice-presidential debate, a source tells Reuters that Democratic challenger Kamala Harris and Republican Mike Pence will be separated by a plexiglass barrier. Pence’s spokeswoman, Katie Miller, responded by saying, “If Senator Harris wants to use a fortress around herself, have at it.”
