– Britain and the European Union are close to a deal on the terms of Britain’s exit from the EU, a British official said Wednesday, though he added that it was still “some way from a deal” at the moment. “I feel we’re some way from a deal at the moment, if I’m honest, but we are at least having a decent discussion of this, you know, what is possible and what isn’t possible,” David Frost, Britain’s chief Brexit negotiator, told a parliamentary committee, per Reuters. The main sticking point is how Britain will continue to receive state aid from the EU after it leaves the EU in two years’ time, reports the BBC.
