– As Britain and the European Union neared a deal on the terms of the country’s departure from the bloc, European Council President Charles Michel urged London to put its cards on the table, reports Reuters. “The coming days are crucial. This is the moment of truth,” he said. “There is only one week to go before the European Council’ meeting on Oct. 15-16. We think we need more clarity and we will see if it is possible to make real and concrete progress.” Britain is due to leave the EU in March, and the two sides are now trying to hammer out the details of the future relationship.
