⁍ Airbus delivered 57 jets in September, up from 39 in August, bringing nine-month deliveries to 341, down 40% from the same period of 2019.

⁍ The drop matches a 40% output fall triggered by the coronavirus crisis.

⁍ Airbus axed guidance at the outset of the pandemic but is internally targeting around 500 deliveries in 2020.

– September was a good month for Airbus. The planemaker delivered 57 jets, up from 39 in August, per Reuters. That’s the highest number of jets it’s delivered so far this year, but it comes at a price: Nine-month deliveries are down 40% from the same time last year, to 341. The culprit: the MERS virus.
