⁍ Chalghoumi has had run-ins with Franco-Moroccan Islamist militant Abdelhakim Sefrioui.
– The French history teacher beheaded by an 18-year-old today was a “martyr for freedom of expression” who “has taught tolerance, civilization, and respect for others,” said an imam outside the Paris school where he was killed. He called on Muslims in France to “wake up, your future is at stake,” Reuters reports. “We need to end the victimization discourse,” said Hassen Chalghoumi, president of the Imams of France Conference. “We all have rights in France, like everyone else. Parents should tell their children about the good that exists in this republic.”
