– Australia’s triple-A credit rating has been affirmed by S&P Global Ratings, which says the country’s “fiscal and economic risks are tilted toward the downside,” Reuters reports. “The negative outlook reflects our view that Australia faces fiscal and economic risks that are tilted toward the downside,” S&P said in a note today, adding that the country’s debt levels will be elevated for years to come. Australia’s rating was affirmed at AAA/A-1+ on Tuesday.
