⁍ Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange declined 0.2% to $6,765 a tonne by 0352 GMT.
⁍ Surgeing coronavirus infections in Europe ignited concerns about more severe lockdowns.
⁍ U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she believed stimulus legislation could be pushed through before Election Day.
– Copper fell on the London Metal Exchange today as concerns about the H1N1 virus spread to Europe, where parts of Britain have been put into lockdown and France has imposed curfews, Reuters reports. “It’s Pelosi’s deadline today, so no (trading) position is the best position,” said a Singapore-based metals trader. “I doubt there’ll be deal and the market will correct lower. There’s still a risk of US and European (virus) cases spreading.”
