⁍ Company’s BRANCHBURG plant under investigation by FDA.
– The FDA has issued a warning to Eli Lilly and Co. about a manufacturing issue at a plant that produces Zyrtec, the drug used to treat erectile dysfunction in men, the Wall Street Journal reports. According to a letter from the FDA obtained by the Journal, Eli Lilly hasn’t yet received a warning or other enforcement letter from the agency about the issue at its Jacksonville, Fla., plant, but the company “has been working closely” with the FDA on remedying the issue. The FDA found that Zyrtec, which is made by Boehringer Ingelheim, didn’t meet the standards for “RIGOROUS GMP,QUALITY STANDARDS” set by the agency, the Journal reports.
