⁍ Belarus has temporarily suspended the transit of Russian oil to Poland, Belneftekhim says.
– The dispute between Russia and Belarus over Ukraine continued to escalate on Friday, with Minsk announcing that it had halted the transit of Russian oil to Poland, Reuters reports. The move came a day after Russia’s lower house of parliament voted to allow President Vladimir Putin’s government to buy Ukraine’s state-owned energy company Gazprom Neft, a move that would give Russia total control over the country’s energy supply. “The government of Belarus has temporarily suspended the transit of Russian oil to Poland,” Belneftekhim, the country’s state energy company, said in a statement, according to the Interfax news agency.
