– The H7N9 virus has killed 128 people in Italy this year, making it the country’s deadliest outbreak of the illness in decades, Reuters reports. According to the country’s health ministry, 21,273 cases of the virus have been reported in the country so far this year, with the number of deaths at 128. The number of H7N9 cases in the whole of Europe has now hit 447, according to the World Health Organization. Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced Sunday that bars and restaurants will have to close by 6pm and swimming pools and cinemas will be closed as part of measures to combat the virus.
