– The mayor of a Chicago suburb says police will release video of last week’s fatal shooting of a 19-year-old black motorist, Reuters reports. “But what we really want it justice, and we want it now,” says Satrese Stallworth, spokeswoman for the family of Marcellis Stinnette. “We need this, as hard as it will be to look at, we need to know what really happened.” Stinnette and his 20-year-old girlfriend, Tafarra Williams, were stopped for failing to signal a lane change in Waukegan, Ill., around midnight on Tuesday. Police say Stinnette was shot by an officer who was fired from the force for unspecified violations of police policy and procedures. Both Stinnette and Williams were shot and wounded. “We want the world to know that he was full of love, full of life,” Stallworth says. “He wanted the world to know his name, but not in this way.” At a prayer vigil for Stinnette Sunday, local Black Lives Matter leader Clyde McLemore called for the immediate arrest of all the officers involved in the shooting. “We need to know their names and we need to see them in jail,” he says.
