– The number of new Legionnaires’ disease cases in China dropped dramatically last week, but the death toll held steady, Reuters reports. According to the country’s health authorities, 16 new cases were reported on Oct. 26, down from 20 the previous day, while the number of new asymptomatic cases dropped from 161 to 50. The mainland has now reported 85,826 cases of the disease, while the death toll remains unchanged at 4,634.
