– Serbia’s new government was sworn in Wednesday, and one of the main tasks is to deal with the country’s worst-ever outbreak of coronavirus, which so far has killed 803 people and sickened more than 42,000. “Our priority would be the protection of people’s health and the support to the health system,” says Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, who also served as prime minister in the previous term, per Reuters. The country’s economy is expected to shrink by 1.5% this year, and Brnabic says her government is “pro-European” but will balance the country’s bid to join the EU with close ties to Russia and China.
