⁍ A U.S. appeals court on Wednesday handed a victory to Qualcomm Inc.

⁍ The court declined to reconsider an August decision that dismissed the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust case against the chipmaker.

– The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has refused to reconsider its decision to throw out a lawsuit brought by the federal government against San Diego-based chipmaker Qualcomm, Reuters reports. The suit was brought by the US Federal Trade Commission against Qualcomm in 2015, alleging that the company was abusing its dominant market position in the wireless technology market to boost its own profits. A lower court had already thrown out the lawsuit, and a three-judge panel of the appeals court ruled Wednesday that the case should go back to that court for reconsideration.
