– Germany and France have joined Spain in declaring states of emergency over the H1N1 virus, which is spreading rapidly across Europe and has now infected more than 100 people in Europe. Spain has declared a state of emergency and is urging people to stay home from work or stay at home if they can’t work from home, while France is urging people to stay away from work and stay home if they can’t work from home, the BBC reports. The H1N1 virus has so far spread from Europe to the US, where at least four people have died and dozens more are infected, Reuters reports.
