⁍ France has faced a backlash from a number of Muslim countries over the cartoons.
– France’s ambassador to Morocco has been ordered to leave the country within 24 hours over the country’s continued publication of “offensive” cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, Reuters reports. A statement from the country’s foreign ministry condemned “savage acts perpetrated in the name of Islam,” but said, “Morocco denounces these provocations offending the sacredness of the Islamic religion.”
