⁍ Kanittha Thongnak has captured a market of thousands by dressing up as a zombie.

⁍ She sells the clothes of dead people in sales streamed live on social media.

⁍ The sales tap into a fascination among many Thais in horror films and ghosts.

– When Kanittha Thongnak went to a funeral, she saw the clothes of the dead burned in accordance with Buddhist tradition. Now the 32-year-old Thai woman is dressing up as a zombie to sell the clothes of the dead on her online store, which has seen thousands of customers flock to her late-night Facebook Live sessions, Reuters reports. “All the clothes belong to dead people who died from different causes,” Kanittha tells the news agency. “Since I started to wear scary make-up, the audience increased to five or six thousand.” Kanittha, who learned the make-up skills on the internet, also sells scary-themed items, including zombie dolls. She says some customers are more interested in buying the clothes than others. “It depends on customers whether they want to buy the clothes or not,” she says. “If they want to buy, they will buy it and they don’t get scared.”
