⁍ Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy has confirmed that it experienced a data breach affecting a group of current and former Google employees.
⁍ The law firm, which provides I-9 employment verification compliance services to the tech giant, said that an ‘unauthorized third party’ accessed a file containing personal information.
– An “unauthorized third party” has stolen the Social Security numbers and other personal information of a “limited number” of Google employees, Westlaw Today reports. According to a notice filed with the California Attorney General’s office, Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, an immigration law firm that provides I-9 compliance services to Google, says an “unauthorized third party” accessed a file containing personal information of a “limited number” of Google employees. The information stolen includes names, email addresses, security codes, and Social Security numbers. Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy says it’s working with Google to resolve the situation.
