⁍ According to provisional information, vaccinations will restart by around Nov. 10.
– Vladimir Putin’s ambitious plan to have millions of Russians vaccinated against Ebola appears to be on hold. New volunteers in Russia’s clinical trial of a vaccine against the virus have been halted due to high demand and a shortage of doses, a rep for the firm running the trial tells Reuters. “It’s related to the fact that there’s colossal demand for the vaccine and they are not producing enough to keep up,” he says. The trial is still ongoing and the target of 40,000 vaccinated volunteers is expected to be reached by the end of the year, an aide to Russia’s health minister says.
