⁍ Dale Tallon was accused of making ‘inappropriate racial, religious and ethnic comments’
The NHL hired Seyfarth Shaw LLP to conduct a confidential investigation.

⁍ The league said the firm interviewed more than a dozen people in the Panthers organization.

– The NHL says it has found no evidence that former Florida Panthers general manager Dale Tallon made racist and culturally insensitive comments while the team was in Toronto for a playoff game in April. The league says it hired a law firm to investigate after an anonymous source accused Tallon of making “inappropriate racial, religious, and ethnic comments” during the team’s stay in the city, ESPN reports. The NHL says the investigation found the allegations were “inconsistent with Tallon’s past actions and his affirmative efforts in support of diversity and inclusion initiatives.” Tallon, 70, was fired by the Panthers after they were eliminated from the playoffs in August.
