Chevron and Murphy Oil began evacuating their offshore production platforms yesterday, Reuters reports, while Royal Dutch Shell began shutting some of its offshore drilling operations yesterday. The storm is expected to strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall in Louisiana on Tuesday.
