– The Czech Republic is dealing with an outbreak of a new virus that has killed more than 500 people and sickened more than 50,000, Reuters reports. The latest numbers from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control show the country has had 197 cases per 100,000 people in the past 14 days, more than any other country in Europe. The new health minister has been named as Roman Prymula, who helped lead the country’s response to the first outbreak of a new virus known as coronavirus. “Professor Prymula will have crisis management as his main task,” said Prime Minister Andrej Babis, who appointed Prymula after Adam Vojtech resigned on Monday.
