⁍ Investors are bracing for an extended period of market volatility.

– The Dow’s three-week losing streak ended on a high note on Tuesday, with the Dow rising 140 points, or 0.5%, to 27,288, reports the Wall Street Journal. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq also rose, adding 34 and 184 points, respectively. Stocks had been down in recent days on worries about a delay in new fiscal stimulus by Congress and a rise in the number of coronavirus cases, per Reuters. “The market is looking for some stability,” says Kenny Polcari of SlateStone Wealth LLC in Jupiter, Florida. “Once again investors and traders are going to look to names that had gotten unduly beaten up.”
