– A California-based electric car company has been slapped with a cease-and-desist order after a short-seller accused it of defrauding investors, the Los Angeles Times reports. Nikola Corp. said in a statement Wednesday that it had received a cease-and-desist order from the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, as well as an order from the Commodities Futures Trading Commission to cease and desist from trading in its securities.
