– Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina beat Russia’s Elena Rybakina in three sets to win the Strasbourg International title today. The No. 5 seed prevailed 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 in just over two hours. The second-seed saved four break points in the opening game of the third set before sealing the victory on her second match point. “The (points saved) really gave me confidence to come back in the match,” Svitolina told a news conference. “The conditions were not easy but you have to adjust really quickly. It was important for me to come out and play my game. Hopefully I can recover quickly for my first match in Paris on Monday.”
