Amy Coney Barrett, a federal appeals court judge Trump appointed to the 7th US Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago last year, met with Justice Anthony Kennedy at the White House, the AP reports. Barrett, a 48-year-old Catholic, is a favorite of the right and is expected to be confirmed by the Senate before the November election. She is expected to be questioned by the Senate Judiciary Committee in a three-day confirmation hearing beginning Oct. 12.
