Jake Lamb homered leading off the seventh inning, sparking a three-run rally. Sean Murphy followed by drawing a walk, and an out later, Tony Kemp doubled to right. Chad Pinder walked to load the bases before Mark Canha doubled to center to bring home two runs. Canha drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the eighth for his fourth RBI of the day. A’s right-hander Frankie Montas, who had a 10.88 ERA over his previous six starts, gave up just two runs (both unearned) in six innings. Montas allowed four hits, walked two and struck out a career-high 13. Mariners lefty Marco Gonzales went five innings and allowed two runs on six hits with one walk and five strikeouts. The Mariners scored unearned runs in each of the first two innings to take a 2-1 lead. J.P. Crawford led off the game with a single and reached second when shortstop Marcus Semien couldn’t handle the throw from catcher Murphy on a stolen-base attempt. With two outs, Ty France lined a run-scoring single to left. The A’s tied it in the bottom of the inning as Tommy La Stella doubled to left with one out, moved to third on a single by Khris Davis, and scored when Canha grounded into a forceout. Canha drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the eighth.
