– American Danielle Collins threw the kitchen sink at former champion Garbine Muguruza to force her way into the fourth round of the French Open on Saturday. Collins, who has very little experience on clay, was 3-0 down in the decider but battled through to set up a meeting with Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the first Arab woman to reach the last 16 at Roland Garros, reports Reuters. “She was playing some of her best tennis, coming up with incredible shots and there wasn’t much I could do so I rolled with the punches and hung in there,” said the 26-year-old Collins. “Honestly I don’t have a lot of experience playing on clay—I didn’t play on claycourts for a couple of years—so it took a while to get acclimatized.”
