– The New York Red Bulls have fired coach Chris Armas and replaced him with Gerhard Struber, Reuters reports. Struber, a 43-year-old Austrian, was last season’s coach of the English Championship (second-tier) club Nottingham Forest and Brentford. The Red Bulls are seventh in the Eastern Conference. “The challenge of working in MLS makes me proud and gives me massive motivation for a big opportunity,” Struber said in a statement. “We want to pursue very ambitious goals together and develop steadily.”
