⁍ Cricket Australia are still negotiating with Queensland health officials over the quarantining of the India team.

⁍ The India squad is scheduled to quarantine in Brisbane and play six short-form internationals in Queensland in late November and early December.

⁍ Queensland was the most successful of the populous eastern Australian states at containing the new coronavirus.

– Australia may have to find a replacement for the Indian cricket team if health authorities in Queensland refuse to allow them to quarantine in the state, reports the Sydney Morning Herald. The team is scheduled to arrive in Brisbane in late November and play six one-day internationals there before moving on to Adelaide for the first of four tests. Health authorities in the most populous state in the country have declared that they are free of the new coronavirus, but Cricket Australia is still negotiating with them over the quarantine plan. “This is an extremely detailed and complex plan that places the health and safety of the community, players and staff as paramount and there is clarification required in order to finalize arrangements,” said a statement from CA. “We would like to thank our friends at the BCCI for their patience and understanding as we work towards a swift and successful outcome.”
