– Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific says it has axed 300 jobs as part of a plan to cut costs by $200 million, Reuters reports. The airline says it has axed the jobs on its unprofitable long-haul flights to and from Macau, as well as some of its short-haul flights to and from China. The axed jobs include cabin crew and pilots. The company says it will now focus on its profitable long-haul flights to and from Hong Kong.
