⁍ Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov said on Friday he was self-isolating after a deputy minister tested positive for coronavirus.


⁍ Borissov said he had a negative result from a coronavirus test he took earlier on Friday.


⁍ Bulgaria’s coronavirus cases have spiked since the start of October.


– Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said today that he is “self-isolating” after testing positive for a virus that has killed more than a thousand people in the country, Reuters reports. “I am waiting for the orders of the health authorities and until then I will be in self-isolation,” Borissov wrote on Facebook. “I was last in contact with him five days ago.” Borissov said he had a negative result from a coronavirus test he took earlier today. Bulgaria has seen 34,930 cases of coronavirus since the start of the month, according to the AP.
