– At least 41 people have been killed in Nigeria over the last few days as protesters call for the release of all political prisoners, the AP reports. The protesters are demanding the release of all political prisoners in the country, as well as the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari, who lost the country’s presidential election to Goodluck Jonathan last month. The protesters are angry at what they say is the government’s failure to release political prisoners, as well as at what they say is Buhari’s mismanagement of the country’s economy. Groups of protesters, some armed with knives, burned buildings and blocked streets in Lagos, the country’s biggest city, over the last few days, Reuters reports.
