– For the first time in its history, the US isn’t among the top eight teams competing in a professional video game tournament, the Verge reports. The top eight teams will advance to the grand final on Nov. 1, with the winner taking home $150,000. The Verge notes that the last time the US wasn’t among the top eight teams was in 2013, when it fell to fifth place.
