⁍ Sudan has received the first batch of wheat of the UAE grant, amounting to 67,000 tonnes.
⁍ Israel also sent wheat worth $5 million to Sudan, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted.
– Sudan’s prime minister says the country has received $5 million in aid from the United Arab Emirates to help ease the country’s food crisis, Reuters reports. According to the official Sudan News Agency, the UAE has provided Sudan with 67,000 tons of wheat, while Israel has also sent the African country wheat worth $5 million. “The UAE’s generous grant will help the Sudanese people to overcome their current crisis,” Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir said in a statement on Sunday, according to Reuters.
