⁍ Staff at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport were sending the toy back to Florida on Friday.
⁍ The airport’s Facebook posts about the missing plaything reached 1 million people, airport spokesperson Mindy Kershner said.
– When Doug and Phyllis Ronco of Madeira Beach, Fla., got a call from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport telling them their son’s lost stuffed Dalmatian had been found, they didn’t think much of it. “I think our son was half a sleep when he left Masch-Masch (the dog’s nickname) at the terminal,” Doug Ronco tells the AP. “Under normal circumstances, he would never forget him.” But the airport took Masch-Masch on an impromptu tour of the airport—complete with a police K9 team and restaurant workers—and the story went viral, reaching more than 1 million people on Facebook. On Friday, the Ronco family drove to St. Pete, Fla., to pick up Masch-Masch. “I think our son was half a sleep when he left Masch-Masch at the terminal,” Doug Ronco says. “It’s very special to him.”
