⁍ Travellers arriving from Spain from Sunday will have to quarantine themselves for 14 days to ensure they do not spread coronavirus.
⁍ The measure will deal a major blow to Spain, which is trying to recoup its tourism season.
⁍ It will also hit airlines and travel companies struggling to get back to business.
– Spain is once again at the center of the coronavirus outbreak that has ravaged Europe this year, with more than 28,000 deaths and more than 290,000 cases. Now the UK has joined Norway and France in declaring that Spain is no longer safe to visit, Reuters reports. Starting at midnight Sunday, all travelers arriving in the UK from Spain will have to quarantine themselves for 14 days to ensure they don’t spread the disease. “The decision, also made by the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland and Wales as well as the UK Government, has been made to reduce the risk of the transmission of the virus by those traveling from Spain,” Scotland’s government said in a statement.
