– The Federal Communications Commission has approved Amazon.com’s plan to build a network of more than 3,200 satellites to provide high-speed broadband internet service, the Wall Street Journal reports. According to Reuters, the FCC said Thursday Amazon’s “Project Kuiper” will provide low-Earth orbit satellites that will provide high-speed broadband connectivity to people worldwide who lack basic access to broadband internet.
