⁍ Cyprus will introduce compulsory testing for all arrivals from Greece from Aug. 6.

⁍ The move comes at the height of the holiday season.

⁍ Both countries kept a lid on a first wave of infections by imposing blanket lockdowns from mid-March to May.

– If you’re planning a vacation to Cyprus this summer, you’ll need to pass a coronavirus test first. The eastern Mediterranean island is introducing the mandatory test for all travelers from Greece after a spike in infections, Reuters reports. The virus has already killed one person in Greece and sickened more than 200 others, according to the country’s health ministry. Cyprus has also seen a spike in infections, with 25 cases reported on Friday, the first time it’s cracked double digits in weeks.
