⁍ Tropical Storm Isaias killed at least four people on Tuesday as it made its way up the U.S. Atlantic Coast.


⁍ Two deaths were reported at a North Carolina trailer park struck by a tornado spun off by hurricane-force winds.


⁍ The storm knocked out power to more than 2.8 million homes and businesses from New York to North Carolina.


– “It doesn’t look real. It looks like something on TV. There’s nothing there,” Bertie County Sheriff John Holley tells Reuters. “Vehicles are turned over. Vehicles are piled on top of each other. It’s just very sad.” Two people were killed by a tornado that tore through a trailer park in the north of the state late Monday as Tropical Storm Isaias moved up the Atlantic Coast, knocking out power to more than 2.8 million homes and businesses. The driver of a car was killed when a tree fell on it in Mechanicsville, North Carolina, and a man in the New York City borough of Queens was killed when a tree crushed his car, reports the New York Daily News. More than 172,000 homes remained without power in North Carolina as of Tuesday afternoon.
